The Cultural Association of Vall de Lord is an institution founded in 1946 by a group of residents of Sant Llorenç de Morunys interested in the history, traditions, cultural heritage and landscape in Vall de Lord.

STONE In this area has been opened in 2013 a section devoted to the geological formation of the Vall de Lord. Below, we show prehistoric material, a piece of possible roman origin, i boundary crosses, romanesque chapiters and two ossuaries of the XIV-XV. With all that is possible to trace back the formation of landscape and the ancient history of the Vall de Lord.

WOOD Is the basic material of religious art, represented by panels of rural altarpieces baroque pictures and sculptures, as well as the plans for the chapel dels Colls made ​​in 1773 by its sculptor Josep Pujol. This year 2013 has been built after being restored, the baroque tabernacle of the Virgin dels Colls, so traditional in the old processions of the village of Sant Llorenç de Morunys.

PLASTER is an abundant material in the Vall de Lord, to the point that has given its name to one of its municipalities: Guixers. Plaster has been used since ancient times as a building and ornamental material, being very characteristic of the Vall de Lord molded plaster ornamentations, of which there are still well-preserved specimens. This is the case of the XVI century ceiling of the small room of the museum dedicated solely to the plaster in the Vall de Lord, opened in 2012.

WOOL & TRADES The woolen cloth production was the main activity of the village of Morunys practically since its origin in the late thirteenth to the nineteenth century. The museum gives testimony of this fact trough a replica of a handloom XVII-XVIII prepared for the development of the drap Piteu. Also this museum area hosts elements related with traditional trades of the territory: barralers, culleraires, pasturatge
